At Long Tale Games, we are dedicated to creating a gaming community that is positive, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone, and welcomes both new and experienced players. To help us achieve this goal, we ask that you follow the guidelines below.
This Code of Conduct applies to all our games and services.
Violations
Knowingly exploiting a bug
Do: follow the course of the game in the way it's intended to be and play fair.
Do not: take advantage of hidden errors in the game to gain an unfair benefit over other players, and any other act that intentionally abuses or goes against the design or intent of a game.
If you come across some questionable working mechanic, we advise you not to abuse it, but to contact our Customer Support and let us know about what you have found. Don't share this information with other players, because this may lead to the mass exploitation of a game mechanic. If you were found to be abusing certain game mechanics, you will get all of your gained profits permanently removed.
In some extra cases, we may have to suspend your game account due to the bug's exploitation.
Rude language
Do: keep the chat clean from any curse words, even if you are very dissatisfied with something. Avoid using harsh or vulgar words in your character names and guild names.
Do not: use an extensive amount of curse words while in the game. We reserve the right to evaluate a message as violating this rule or not. Please note that you can’t use any swear words in your account name. Moreover, any graphic visualization of anything that may seem rude or insulting will be considered a violation as well.
Nicknames: Players are not permitted to use nicknames that contain rude, offensive, or explicit language. This includes any terms that are discriminatory, hateful, sexually explicit, or derogatory towards any individual or group based on their race, gender, religion, nationality, or any other protected characteristic.
Guild Names: Guild names must also adhere to the same standards as nicknames. They should not contain any form of rude, offensive, or explicit language.
If a player is found to have violated the policy, appropriate actions will be taken, which may include but are not limited to:
i. A warning or temporary suspension from using the offensive nickname/guild name.
ii. Requirement to change the offensive nickname/guild name within a specified timeframe.
iii. In severe or repeated cases, a permanent ban from the game.
Spam/ads in chat. Flood
Do: keep the in-game chat clean from repetitive messages and advertisements, and value other players' experiences.
Do not: use your account to advertise, solicit, or transmit any commercial advertisements, including chain letters, junk, spam e-mail, or repetitive or misleading messages.
Spamming and flooding a game’s chat with ads may get your account suspended for a week or more (if the violation is repetitive).
Abusive behavior, threats, insults, and harassment towards other players, moderators, and LTG support team
Do: value other players for their in-game contributions and activities, and respect their style of play. While we encourage competitive play where appropriate, keep it friendly and respectful.
Do not: provide any information that is abusive, threatening, obscene, racially, sexually, religiously, or otherwise objectionable or offensive. Do not provide any information that contains nudity, excessive violence, or offensive subject, or that contains a link to such content. Do not attempt to, or harass, abuse, harm, or advocate for harassment, abuse, or harm of others.
If you were found to be involved in any kind of abusive behavior in-game chat, you may receive a chat ban for a month or more (if the violation is repetitive).
Sharing personal data in-game chats
Do: respect everybody's privacy, and stay civil.
Do not: post or share any content that may reveal private information about others. Do not solicit, or attempt to solicit, or collect personal information from other users. Also, do not try to trick other users into telling you their personal data and/or account information.
If you were found to be involved in sharing other people's personal information in chat, you may receive a chat ban for a month or more (if the violation is repetitive).
Cheating/using third-party software
Do: play within the rules of the game.
Do not: use or engage (directly or indirectly) in the use of emulators, cheats, automation software, bots, hacks, mods or any software designed to modify or interfere with the course of the game.
We reserve the right to determine what constitutes unfair play and to take corrective action we deem appropriate.
If you were found to be involved in cheating/hacking, all of your achievements gained while using cheats will be deleted. Moreover, you may have your account suspended for 3 months or more (if the violation is repetitive).
Fraud/unauthorized transactions
Do: keep your payment information safe, and be aware of any suspicious activities connected with your credit card that may occur
Do not: share your card number/CVV or any other payment information with anybody. If you find out that your payment info has been compromised – contact our support.
If you were found to be involved in any fraud scheme, you may have your account suspended for 3 months or more (if the violation is repetitive).
Account sharing/selling. Selling or purchasing virtual money and goods for real money
Do: keep your account info safe, use strong passwords. Buy and sell following the rules of the game.
Do not: purchase, sell, rent, or give away your Account and virtual property. If anybody is asking for your account information, do not give it to them.
If you were found to be involved in the account or virtual property sharing/selling, you will receive a permanent ban. All of your accomplishments will be irreversibly taken down.
Scam
Do: be aware of any suspicious people and their suggestions in the game, be cautious.
Do not: create an account using a false identity or information or on behalf of someone other than yourself. Do not impersonate another player. Do not engage in real-money trading of in-game items and in-game currencies.
If you were found to be involved in any kind of scam scheme, you will receive a permanent ban. All of your accomplishments will be irreversibly taken down.
Consequences and Enforcement
At Long Tale Games, we are committed to creating and maintaining a peaceful and welcoming community for everyone. While we encourage players to take responsibility for their actions, we also take responsibility for enforcing our Code of Conduct when necessary.
If you receive a suspension, please do not attempt to evade it by creating new accounts or asking others to do so on your behalf. Such actions will result in additional enforcement towards your account. Please note that Long Tale Games is not required to provide evidence of a breach of the Code of Conduct resulting in a user's access being terminated or restricted.
We reserve the right to penalize any account for any actions we determine to violate this Code of Conduct. Our community is constantly evolving, and we may update this Code of Conduct as needed.
