Age 5 adds the following modifiers to “Seasonal Arden”:
- Starting from Age 5, players will receive a +25% bonus to damage for all types of weapons (melee and ranged) including siege (trebuchet, sapper charge).
Forestry
- “Season 1” brought back one of the old LiF mechanics: upon planting a tree, there was a certain % chance that it won’t survive and won’t grow up. Throughout the season the team has been monitoring the feedback on this change, and we came to the conclusion that it ultimately did not contribute much to strategic depth of the game while making it less fun. Therefore, with this patch. This mechanic is reverted - 100% of planted trees will grow up.
Combat
- We have detected a situation (a rare case for specific guild ranks) when the secondary JH on Sunday won’t start. With this patch this problem should be resolved.
- N.B. Some of the important JH fixes have not yet been mirrored by the web part of the game. This means that, in rare cases, dashboard may show guilds prime time with +1 hour discrepancy. Meanwhile, the JH in game will start in their appropriate time.
- Now “Manage Combat Styles” cooldown passes even offline. The cooldown is reduced from 120min to 60min.
- When building a fence on leveled terrain with a slope, the game automatically assigns an initial fence position during the site placement phase. A player can manually adjust the direction. However, there was a situation when, upon completing the construction site, the fence snaps back to the position originally chosen by the system, disregarding the player's manual adjustments. With this patch the issue has been fixed.
IBs
- We have improved the responsiveness of the IB UI (sometimes with many characters enlisting and delisting from an IB, the UI could fail to reflect the latest changes in participants’ list).
UX/UI
- With this update we make some changes to the in-game chat, i.a. we remove the list of players from the panel on the right. This may take some time to get used to. Let us remind you some useful chat commands and ways to interact with other players:
- Use command [/pm (CharacterName)] to send a DM
- You can invite a player to a group/guild by using the search function (insert character’s name) in “Character(P) -> Social”, or via the dashboard.
- We have introduced a dedicated message for banned players. Previously, upon logging in they would receive a generic error message. Now the message will unambiguously say a player was banned.
- When we added the quality parameter to some recipes’ description, layout of the corresponding text windows went askew. With this patch we rework the layout to better reflect the changes.
- When a player attempted to delete a character on Arden, they would sometimes receive a legacy message that “they would need to buy a ticket to access the game world” (which is no longer the game mechanic). We have removed this misleading message.
- Sometimes, if a connection to the server was interrupted due to connection issues, players would receive a wrong error message: “Can’t startup: failed to load skills/abilities”. The team has fixed the type of error that would be shown, thus making it more informative.
- Now, when a player approaches an admin.land (blue zone), they would receive a warning:
- The message will appear within 30 meters of an admin.land boarder (15 tiles).
- At the same time, the types of lands will become visible for 2 seconds (effect usually prompted by pressing F4).
- The content of the message will depend on the permissions of an admin.land.
- The option can be enabled/disabled in “Settings”.

Technical
- The changes to NPCs AI have eliminated many unnecessary scripts, thus reducing the strain on the server-client exchange and, ultimately, contributing to a better overall performance.
- Not long ago, the team implemented certain changes to the server connection protocols. The changes should have allowed the players who used to struggle with access to the game (i.a. from CIS countries) to successfully reconnect to LiF. While the intervention was overall successful, it came with side-effects, like occasional problems with crossing a server boarder, or issues with web-based in-game windows. With this patch, we attempt to further fine-tine the changes to eliminate these problems.
- When trying to delete a character, a player could encounter an error “You cannot delete this character (code=1042)”. This patch resolves the issue.
- We have detected a situation when, after consuming a stat-boosting food (or using any other stat-boosting item), the effective (real) stat values remained the same. With this patch, the issue should be fixed.
