Sometimes you need to make a screen recording of an issue instead of sending a lengthy description of it. Here's how you can easily do it.
Recording your screen with the Xbox game bar on Windows
- Open the program that you want to record in the screencast.
Note: The feature will not work if the application is not open, and you are attempting to start recording from the desktop. - Press the Win+G key combination to open the game bar panel.
- Click on the Yes, this is the game button.
- Adjust the recording settings according to your needs: you can configure the recording quality, choose a path to save the video, etc.
- Click on the Start Recording button to start recording.
- Perform the necessary actions on the screen.
- Click on the Stop Recording button that will appear in the upper right corner of the screen or press the Win+Alt+R key combination to stop the recording.
- Your screencast will be saved in the Videos folder inside the Captures folder on your hard drive.
Recording your screen with Nvidia GeForce Experience
- Make sure that the GeForce Experience software from NVIDIA is installed on your computer.
- Open the GeForce Experience software and go to the Settings section.
- Under the Recording tab, set the toggle switch to Show Overlay, then choose the recording quality and other settings as per your preference.
- Return to your desktop and open the program you want to record.
- Press the Alt + Z key combination to open the NVIDIA control panel overlay.
- Click on the Record button, and select Create or Settings to configure the recording parameters.
- Adjust the recording settings according to your needs. For example, you can configure the recording quality, choose a path to save the video, etc.
- Click on the Record button to begin recording your screen.
- Perform the necessary actions on the screen.
- Click on the Stop button or use the Alt + Z key combination to stop the recording.
- Your screencast will be saved in the Videos folder on your hard drive.
Please note that some computers may not support this function. If you encounter any problems, try using third-party screen recording software.
